We’re looking for a Staff Software Engineer with a passion for problem solving and implementing resilient backends at scale.
The ideal candidate should have good architectural instincts with an insatiable appetite for learning and solving problems with a team. You should have a strong basis in backend technologies such as Python, Django, FastAPI, SQL-based databases and queue-based architectures.
Additionally, you’ll be working closely with our CTO and executive team to help flesh out the rest of the team and architect the backend platform.
This is a full-time hybrid position with the option to relocate to Tallinn, Estonia, or make short trips for team sync-ups. A 4-5 hour time zone overlap with the team is preferable.

Key Responsibilities
API design and collaboration—work with our frontend teams to design APIs that are efficient and scalable.
Mentor and expand the team—help recruit and train new team members, and provide guidance to junior engineers, fostering a culture of innovation, excellence, and continuous improvement.
Develop and maintain backend systems—ensure the delivery of high-quality, performant, and scalable backend solutions that provide an outstanding user experience.
Technical Leadership—Participate in code reviews, architectural discussions, and planning sessions to drive the success of our projects. Additionally, help inspire the team by delivering thoughtful criticism and a warm helping hand to others.
Cross-team Product Collaboration—Work closely with our product team to innovate and deliver a magical player experience.
Prototyping and Innovation—quickly create prototypes, test new ideas, and integrate user feedback.
